Reapers Record: 11-8-2
Last night the Reapers came to the field knowing that if we were to lose this match, the season would end. Knowing that we had beat Newark at the beginning of the season, the Reapers were ready to play. There was a huge home crowd to get the team going. The focus of the match was to work on what works for us as a team. We wanted to see the ball on the sideline and crosses into dangerous positions. That’s what we did. All of our guys were eager to score and we finished with a new team record with 9 goals in a single game. This team has been a really special team. We started from the beginning of this season focusing on excellence. I knew we had the talent this year to be excellent and it has been great seeing our guys so eagerly pursue that. We have broken every school record this season and our guys have been a strong unit. In a town that pours its attention into football, it has been great to see a small group of guys succeed and begin to bring in the community as well. For the seniors, this game was a great game to finish the play at home with. We know that Somonauk is beatable on Tuesday and we are going to try to get ourselves ready for that match.Goal Scorer | Assisted By | Time |
